ATTENTION!! Makes Sure Your Advertising Demands It

describe the imageIf a tree falls in the forest but nobody is there to hear it, does it make a noise?  The same concept applies to your advertising.  Advertising only works when it grabs the attention of your target audience.

No matter how compelling your offer, if the message fails to make an impression, then the effectiveness of the advertising suffers greatly.  As important as this is, marketers often fail to achieve it.  Just as much effort needs to be spent on securing your target audience's attention, as it does on the offer you are making in your advertising.

We have written a handful of articles on this subject.  Below we have highlighted the top 3 articles on this subject:

1.  Advertising That Makes An Impression.  It Is As Easy As K.I.S.S.

You have probably heard the expression, Keep It Simple Stupid.  This article takes that concept and applies it to your marketing message.  It is a simple concept, but very important to a successful campaign.

2.  An Advertising Technique For A Successful Campaign:  Tiny Words

It doesn't take many words to get your customers attention.  In fact, it might only take 2-4...if they are the RIGHT words.

3.  Good Radio Commercials Require Great Theater Of The Mind

Not just with Radio, but with any advertising, you want to make that emotional connection.  However, that emotional connection is different with everyone.  When using theater of the mind, the mental image can be different for each person, but yet will still provide the same positive result.

Make sure the advertising message is memorable, not necessarily the way it was delivered. Remember the TV ad in which Charley Daniels goes into a restaurant that had a strolling violinist? It was a very memorable ad, but I can't for the life of me remember the product or service that was being advertised.
