There are a lot of bad websites out there. Please don’t be one of them. It doesn’t matter if you include your website in your marketing message. People will Google you before they ever contact you. If you haven’t updated your website in the last 5 years, you are hurting your business. If you don’t have a website, you should create one IMMEDIATELY (even if it is a place holder as you build a better one). Having a website isn’t optional in today’s business climate. It is mandatory!
It doesn’t matter if you are a one location deli or a 200 lawyer law firm; the web is your new storefront. We don’t want to add stress, but now that you have a website, do you have a mobile site?
Mobile is the new front door for information. Well over half of Americans have smartphones and the number is growing by the day. Many radio and TV ads don’t even bother giving the phone number or address since the majority of consumers will Google their business before contacting them, either to find more information or to get the phone number and address of the business.
Obviously, your website should look professional, but the priority is still that you just have one. Your mobile site is less about the “look” and more about the presence. It needs to have the necessary information that people are searching on their phones. Don’t make them come to your regular site on their mobile devices. They will be annoyed that your site is not mobile enabled and will make an automatic, negative assumption about you and your business.
